Based on the need for improved port access and traffic patterns, QGA developed a Master Plan which included a new entrance gate to the Port, a maintenance building, and new administration building that was designed to have a “ship like” layout. The administration building has a narrow two-story mezzanine, with the south face of the building looking more industrial and the north face of the building appealing to a more historic character. Site and landscaping enhancements were also made to improve the visual effect of the industrial operation which is adjacent to the downtown area and historic district.
