The existing Cathedral of the Sacred Heart was renovation to better reflect its importance to the parish and to meet current user needs. Transepts were created by removing the south choir balcony and north cry room and storage. A new balcony was placed at the front entry above an expanded narthex. The rear wall of the sanctuary was removed and an apse was constructed with a new rose window. The sanctuary platform was reshaped and new marble floor, altar, ambo, bishop’s chair, and reredos were custom made. New floor finishes and lighting improvements completed the extensive renovation
