The historic St. Joseph church needed to be restored after damage caused by Hurricane Ivan rendered it unusable. The bell tower was repaired and a new roof structure was built and replaced. The original wood floor was dried, repaired and refinished, and the front door was salvaged, repaired and re-installed in its original location. The restoration of the church was completed and the church was rededicated by the Bishop on Christmas Eve, 2006.
